Presentation
The EMG 85-8H is a dual-coil active humbucker designed for eight-string guitars, based on the original 85 model. It features narrow aperture coils and Alnico V magnets, giving it a powerful sound and great adaptability.
The pickup's Alnico V magnets provide rich grain and smooth solo tones that allow musicians to explore a wide range of genres, from blues to the most intense metal styles. Although commonly used in the neck position, the 85-8H performs equally well in the bridge position, where it delivers notable smoothness and depth.
Compatibility with EMG accessories such as the VLPF, EXG, SPC and RPC, as well as the entire range of EMG pickups, means there are plenty of options for customisation. The solderless cabling system simplifies installation and modifications. The kit includes everything you need for installation, from the volume potentiometer to the mounting screws.
