The EMG 85-8X for 8-string guitar features Alnico V magnets and an X preamp for enhanced dynamics. Ideal for a wide range of playing styles, it's equally suited to clean passages and big, saturated riffs, particularly in metal and modern rock.
Placed on the neck, it produces a warm, fluid sound, perfect for solos and melodies. In the bridge position, it adds density and depth to support heavy riffs and palm mutes.
With its resonant frequency of 1.91 kHz and low noise floor, it maintains a clean signal even under high distortion.
Supplied with a complete kit including a VLPF and solderless cabling, it's easy to fit without a soldering iron.
