If you want to switch, the EMG 89 Chrome is a pickup with alnico V magnets. It goes from a deep growl to a clear twang. It's all played from the built-in push/pull. No need to modify your wiring.

Presentation
The EMG 89 Chrome pickup puts control in your hands. You can switch from a thick double coil to a single incisive coil, without latency or loss of level. The push/pull switch activates the change instantly.
The inverted split changes the dynamics: the highs become more present, the low midrange remains taut. This opens up access to typical Strat sounds without affecting the overall configuration.
This microphone can be integrated into any EMG solderless chain. Installation takes less than 10 minutes, with all cables included. No wires to solder, no worries.
The measurements also speak for themselves: 1.91 kHz centre frequency, 8.5 V in intense play, low background noise. These figures confirm what your fingers feel with every note.
