The EMG 89X is an active microphone that lets you switch between two different sounds thanks to its Dual Mode system.
In humbucker mode, it delivers a warm, balanced sound with deep bass and precise treble, making it ideal for rock, metal and blues rhythms. When you activate the single coil mode via push/pull, the sound becomes clearer and more ethereal, ideal for arpeggios, funk or jazz.
This pickup is equipped with an X Series preamp that improves dynamics and increases the frequency range, while maintaining good separation between the strings. With its Alnico V magnets, it produces a natural sound, without the compression typical of conventional active pickups.
The EMG 89X is easy to install on a 6-string guitar, in neck or bridge position, and thanks to its solderless system, fitting is quick and secure.
