In humbucker mode, it delivers a rich sound with a high output level, perfect for powerful riffs, solos and saturated rhythms. The single coil mode, accessible by push/pull, delivers a clearer, more defined and airy sound, particularly suited to clean passages, fingerpicking, funk or jazz.
The X Series preamp enhances dynamics and frequency response, delivering a more expressive and detailed sound than a conventional active pickup. The 89X is designed for 6-string guitars, and can be mounted in either neck or bridge position.
This pickup is ideal for musicians who alternate between heavy styles and softer sounds, and who are looking for an active sound with more nuance.
When it's time to change or install the pickup, there's no need to fuss with soldering. Thanks to the solderless system, all you have to do is plug in the connectors, making the operation quick and accessible, even for those who aren't used to tinkering with their guitars.
