The EMG 89X microphone offers you two sounds in one thanks to its Dual Mode system.
In humbucker mode, you can expect a warm, powerful sound, with mid-range tones that give body to your rock and metal rhythms, or solos that really sing. Simply pull the push/pull potentiometer and you switch to single coil. The sound becomes clear, bright and highly defined, perfect for delicate arpeggios, softer atmospheres or clean effects.
X Series preamplification makes this pickup super-responsive, with an open dynamic range that doesn't sound compressed like some active pickups.
Thanks to the Alnico V magnets, the pickup delivers a rich sound with good definition. It's easy to install on your 6-string guitar, in either neck or bridge position, with no need for soldering.
