Presentation
The EMG 89XR is an active pickup with inverted coils. The single coil is placed on the neck side, allowing you to capture that famous Stratocaster sweet spot, with a clear, bright, well-defined sound.
In humbucker mode, mainly used in bridge position, it delivers a warm, powerful and precise sound, thanks to the Alnico V magnets. Switching between the two modes is a simple push/pull operation. This pickup can be used to produce a wide range of sounds, to suit a variety of playing styles.
In the bridge position, the pickup is ideal for rock, blues or metal rhythms, thanks to its power and dynamics. In the neck position, the single-coil mode is ideal for softer playing, funk, jazz or melodic parts, with great clarity.
X Series technology retains all the dynamics of your playing, without overpowering the nuances or making the sound aggressive. It lets your playing express itself naturally, without alteration. This microphone is an interesting solution for those who want to vary their sound palette without changing microphones.
