Designed for 9-string guitars, the EMG 909 delivers a clear response on low strings that are often difficult to control. Its wide-aperture coils and Alnico V magnets ensure a precise attack and a balanced sound, capable of handling both rhythmic and melodic passages.
The EMG 909 is an evolution of the EMG 707 pickup, originally designed for 7-string guitars. To meet the needs of 9-string guitars, EMG has adapted the design by enlarging the coils and optimising the choice of magnets, which improves bass definition and clarity.
Whether in the bridge or neck position, this pickup produces a consistent sound across the entire neck. It is ideally suited to styles that demand high definition, such as modern metal, djent and progressive rock.
If you've never tinkered with electronics before, there's no need to worry: solderless assembly makes installation quick and easy, with no soldering required.
