The EMG 909X pickup is specially designed for 9-string guitars, an instrument that often poses challenges when it comes to the clarity of low notes. This active pickup solves this problem thanks to its large coils and Alnico V magnets, which boost bass without compromising treble accuracy.
The X Series preamp allows the mic to pick up every nuance, from the softest to the loudest, without the sound becoming muddled or saturated, even when you turn the volume up to maximum.
The 909X can be used in both bridge and neck positions. It is particularly suited to metal, djent and progressive rock guitarists. Active high-frequency control (VLPF) lets you adjust the tone, for a warmer or brighter sound to suit your playing style and preferences.
