The EMG FTC X Black is more than just an active Telecaster pickup. It features an Alnico V magnet combined with EMG's X-Series preamp, for a rare balance between vintage brilliance and modern gain. The result? A recognisable twang, revisited to take overdrive better, with more sustain and bite.
This neck pickup delivers 1 V RMS on standard output, and climbs to 3 V on intense attack. Its active circuit eliminates hiss, buzz and noise. There's no ground to worry about, no tools to solder: it's all wired up and ready to play. And thanks to the VLPF active tone, you can modulate the brightness without burying the bass.
The FTX gives an extended dynamic range, and a resonance frequency of 4.52 kHz. Your notes click, and remain fluid, even under pressure. The system comes with all the necessary components: 25k potentiometers, quick-fit cabling, pre-installed connectors, screws, springs, it's all there.
