Presentation
The EMG H2 Neck is a dual-coil passive pickup designed for guitarists looking for a balanced response between clarity and power. With its ceramic and steel magnets, it delivers a medium output (around 7.5 kΩ), ideal for styles such as blues (e.g. a warm, clear sound à la B.B. King), vintage rock (à la Slash) or gypsy jazz. Unlike some over-compressed humbuckers, it retains a natural dynamic range, even with moderate saturation.
Its neck position produces tight lows that avoid the mud of classic humbuckers and crystal-clear highs, perfect for expressive solos or complex chords. In clean, for example, it replicates the definition of a Gibson PAF, and with light overdrive it approaches the drive of a '59 Seymour Duncan.
The solderless Quick-Connect mount makes it easy to combine with a more aggressive bridge pickup like an EMG H4 for a balanced set.
