The EMG JV Set Black is like rediscovering the sound of your first jazz bass... but with extra muscle. This duo of active pickups has all the warmth and muffled response of vintage models, without the extraneous noise or inaccuracy we've been lugging around since the 70s.
Under the discreet black covers are Alnico 5 magnets, selected for their natural response and balance. The result is full bass, a singing midrange and clean highs, even when playing fingerstyle or with an aggressive slap. The integrated preamp manages dynamics with finesse: nothing is crushed, everything remains clear.
Installation is a breeze: no need to break out the soldering iron. All the cables are supplied and everything is pre-wired. You're up and running in 10 minutes, stress-free. And for the more demanding, the 18V mode boosts the dynamic head.
