The EMG KH BB Set Black pickup duo embodies Kirk Hammett's sonic vision. This signature set is for guitarists looking for a sharp, dynamic and totally controlled sound, both rhythmically and solo. It features a BB-N neck pickup with an Alnico V magnet and a BB-B bridge pickup with a ceramic and steel base, each calibrated for a precise, muscular sound.
Designed to excel in metal, these active devices deliver a high output level (up to 4.5 V strumming) with virtually no background noise. The result is dense, clean, articulate audio, even at high gain. The resonance frequency has been finely tuned for each position (1.80 kHz at the neck, 1.63 kHz at the bridge) to ensure a good balance between clarity and power.
Installation requires no soldering thanks to the traditional wireless EMG system, supplied complete with all cables, bus, 25K pots, documentation and accessories. Bonus: no need to ground the bridge. In just a few minutes, you're ready to go.
