The EMG MM5CSX pickup is designed for Music Man-type 5-string basses. It's a double-coil active pickup that uses ceramic and steel magnets to deliver clear, balanced sound. Its X Series technology guarantees great dynamics and low noise, even at high volumes. This mic works great for playing funk, modern metal or alternative rock, especially when you're looking for a precise, powerful sound.
This pickup handles dynamic playing very well, whether it's slap, fast riffs or melodic lines. The built-in VLPF pot makes it easy to modulate the treble without sacrificing the roundness of the low frequencies. This gives a great deal of flexibility for adapting the sound to suit the context, both live and in the studio.
Easy to install with the Quick-Connect system, the MM5CSX is perfectly suited to 5-string Music Man basses with a wide format.
