Designed for 6-string basses, the EMG P6-CSX is an active pickup that responds to a variety of styles without ever losing clarity. Thanks to its ceramic and steel magnets, combined with wide, low coils, it delivers brilliant articulation in the highs, natural warmth in the mids and real depth in the lows. Whether you're playing fingerstyle, slap or fast back-and-forth, every nuance comes through with precision.
The onboard X Series preamp increases dynamics and headroom, resulting in a more expressive feel and a more open signal, even in intense passages. The strings remain well balanced, with no hollows or swelling.
Another big plus: installation is simple, quick and clean, thanks to EMG's solderless cabling system. And with the integrated VLPF active control, you can easily attenuate overly aggressive highs, like a passive tone... but without the background noise. A real plus if you're looking for a pickup that's just as suited to technical playing as it is to deep grooves.
