The EMG PJA Black X-Series pickup set isn't there to decorate your bass: it opens it up, reveals it, liberates it. This P & J duo with alnico magnets makes no compromises. The P pickup slams with a warmth reminiscent of Motown lines, while the J cuts through with a crystal-clear bite made for muscular funk or modern grooves.
Part of EMG's X series, these active devices feature a powerful preamp. The result? Impressive dynamics, natural response and zero unwanted noise. Even at high volume, your signal remains clean, defined and free from annoying hum and hiss. Yes, even when slapping hard.
Editing? As easy as a click. Thanks to the solderless system, the set is quick to install, with no need to sweat or take out the iron. Everything is supplied: cables, 25k pots, insulating foam for the battery, screws and clear diagrams. No need to be an electronics expert!
The set accepts voltages from 9 to 18V, and even up to 27V if you're the type who plays hard and long. On average, the battery lasts 800 hours. Enough to see you through.
