The EMG RT is a single-coil active pickup designed for the bridge position of 6-string Telecasters. It delivers a powerful, clear, dynamic sound that avoids the hiss problems often encountered with passive pickups. Its design combines Alnico V magnets with a custom-made coil to deliver an extended, richly detailed sound.
This pickup shines particularly brightly when the amp is pushed: it delivers long sustain, a precise attack and marked grain, ideal for rock, blues or punk playing where dynamics count as much as clarity. The bass remains present without becoming heavy, and the highs are well controlled to avoid the 'ear-picking' effect.
