The EMG RTC is an active pickup designed for the bridge position of Telecaster™ guitars, thought for those looking for more precision, presence and clarity without sacrificing Tele character. It uses the classic EMG Rear Tele format, but replaces the alnico magnet with a ceramic magnet, which enhances brilliance, responsiveness and rich harmonics.
This choice results in a higher output level, a more direct attack, and better definition, particularly in the treble. Funk rhythms are sharper, pick riffs crisper, and fingerpicking and chicken picking benefit from a precise response to every nuance. Even with a light crunch, the sound remains articulate and fluid, with no smearing.
Its active circuit completely eliminates noise, so you can play without hiss or background noise, whether on stage or in the studio. And thanks to the EMG solderless system, installation is simple and accessible, even if you're not an electronics expert.
