The EMG SAX X Series revisits the Strat sound with a modern approach. Equipped with a single active coil and Alnico V magnets, it produces a clear, balanced tone, ideal for blues, rock and funk. Its X Series preamp widens the dynamic range and maintains an even response across all strings, even at high bends.
This pickup shines on funky rhythms where every note stands out, but is equally at home on nuanced blues solos or vintage rock passages.
The low impedance, internally shielded design significantly reduces unwanted noise without losing the personality of a single coil.
The active VLPF tone control allows you to smooth out the highs, so you can fine-tune your sound to suit your tastes. The Solderless system makes installation quick and easy, with no need for soldering. What's more, it's compatible with a wide range of EMG accessories to enrich your sound palette even further.
