Presentation
The EMG SJHZ Black is a pickup that offers a passive approach to the Jazz Bass sound, with a design that preserves the clarity and smoothness of the middle and upper registers. Its short neck format is ideal for 4 or 5-string basses.
Its double stacked winding with ceramic magnets and steel pads eliminates noise while retaining a nice open frequency range. In rehearsal, even with an entry-level amp, you'll hear every nuance of the playing in both directions.
The response remains natural, even on phrases played with finesse. A typical example: on a fretless, the sustain gains in definition without becoming too bright. On a slap, the tight midrange avoids overdrive while allowing the bass to breathe.
The solderless connection simplifies installation, while offering a reversible phase via a solderless connector. You'll need to connect the ground of the strings, which is classic for a passive of this calibre.
As for accessories, everything is included: 250k pots, earth cable, screws, mono jack, etc. This device is aimed at jazz bass purists looking for reliability without losing warmth or definition.
