EMG's SLVX Ivory pickup turns the classic version on its head. EMG injects an X-Series preamp directly into the pickup. You'll feel the difference from the very first attack. The Alnico magnets structure the spectrum with clarity. Each note emerges with body, depth and controlled tension.
This model, derived from the SLV, retains the base and strengthens the structure. The more compact coil concentrates the energy. You gain headroom without losing tonal balance. The active tone control (VLPF) reacts with finesse to every playing movement.
Installation is simple thanks to the solderless system. EMG supplies everything: cables, pots, screws, springs. You plug in, you play. There are no ground wires. The system remains silent, even at high volume, with a background noise level of -103 dB.
Voltage is as low as 3V when playing hard. The microphone remains stable with a constant impedance of 10 kΩ. Compatible with other EMG microphones, it fits naturally into any active configuration. This reference isn't trying to please, it's effective because it acts.
