The EMG 81-8 is a humbucker specially designed for 8-string guitars. With its ceramic magnets and small-aperture coils, it produces a clear, precise and powerful sound. Its high output level provides fast, controlled saturation, perfect for styles that demand punch and definition, such as metal or djent.
This dual-coil pickup is designed for the bridge or neck position, where it works wonders to keep the bass well articulated without losing aggression or dynamics. It brings out the details in the playing, whether in heavy riffs or cutting solos, and helps the notes to stand out in a dense mix.
The EMG solderless wiring system makes installation a breeze, even for those who aren't comfortable with soldering. The complete kit includes everything you need, such as potentiometers, cables, jacks and screws.
