The TBJ is EMG's original J pickup, designed for bassists who use a Thunderbird bass and are looking to enrich their sound. This simple active coil is distinguished by its position close to the bridge, resulting in a sound with rich harmonics and a strong midrange.
This pickup is ideal for finger-style players who want every note to be clear and defined, but it also holds up very well in slap, thanks to its ability to handle percussive attacks without distortion or extraneous noise. The TBJ reproduces a wide range of frequencies. It adds depth to the low frequencies and maintains clear clarity in the highs.
Its solderless connection system makes installation easy, a real plus for those who prefer to do it themselves. The kit includes everything you need: potentiometers, cables, screws and stereo jack. Powered by a single 9V battery, it has a long battery life, perfect for both rehearsals and live performance.
