Epiphone is proud to introduce its third signature model designed in partnership with the incredibly talented Matt Heafy of Trivium: the Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins. The instrument features two custom Fishman Fluence pickups, each of which delivers three distinct tones!
Presentation
Developed in collaboration with Trivium guitarist Matt Heafy, this guitar is a true blend of power and precision, combining traditional design with modern innovations.
Its mahogany body, lightened for increased comfort, is topped with a maple top that combines aesthetics and resonance. The mahogany neck with a SpeedTaper D profile promotes fast and fluid playing, while the modern contoured heel offers effortless access to the highest notes. The ebony fingerboard, adorned with custom block inlays, completes the overall elegance and guarantees impeccable playability.
Custom Fishman Fluence pickups equip this Les Paul with unmatched tonal versatility. The Alnico neck pickup offers three voicings: a modern active humbucker, a warm, smooth sound in the neck position, and a single-coil option for clear, dynamic tones.
The ceramic bridge pickup, meanwhile, offers tonal options ranging from a powerful active humbucker to a punchy passive, with an overwound position for added bite. These voicings are activated via push-pull potentiometers for intuitive and precise control.
Gold hardware, including a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover Rotomatic locking tuners, ensures stability and reliability, even during the most intense performances. The refined finishes, with multi-ply binding and gold plating, add a touch of luxury to this decidedly modern instrument.
Complete with a custom hardshell case, the Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins Ebony is a guitar designed to excel on stage and in the studio, offering an ideal combination of tradition, innovation and bold style.
