ESI Audiotechnik - Neva Duo

With the Neva Duo, ESI Audiotechnik offers an audio interface designed for those who want to get started quickly, without giving up functions usually reserved for more advanced models. Its small size and USB-C power supply make it easy to transport and integrate into a home studio or mobile setup. The whole package is sober and well-organised, with ergonomics designed to make it easy to get to grips with.

The input section is based on two integrated mic preamps, each associated with an XLR / 6.35 mm jack combo input. This configuration allows you to connect dynamic or condenser microphones, thanks to the +48 V phantom power, as well as instruments such as guitar or bass via the Hi-Z inputs. The Line / Hi-Z selectors make it easy to adapt to the type of source being used, while the gain controls, accompanied by LED rings, offer clear visual control of input levels.

On the output side, the Neva Duo has a pair of TRS line outputs for connection to monitoring speakers or a broadcast system, plus an independent headphone output with dedicated volume control. Direct hardware monitoring can be activated by a simple switch, allowing sources to be listened to without latency during recording. This approach is particularly useful for vocals, instruments or live streaming sessions.

On the software side, the interface uses professional drivers to ensure low latency on Windows with ASIO 2.0, WDM and DirectSound support, and native CoreAudio compatibility on macOS. The presence of a hardware loopback channel makes it easy to record audio streams internally, a useful feature for podcasting, streaming or capturing signals from different applications.

The Neva Duo comes with a selection of software covering multitrack recording, audio editing and mobile creation, as well as temporary access to an online music collaboration platform.
