Presentation
The Osmose 49 CE + Soliste + Noisy 2 + Soft Case bundle offers a particularly comprehensive package centred around the Expressive E ecosystem. The bundle brings together the Osmose 49 CE controller, two virtual instruments with very different sonic approaches, and a case designed specifically for transporting the keyboard.
The Osmose 49 CE serves as the pack’s playing interface. Its 49-key keyboard transmits the movements and variations of each note independently, including touch sensitivity, pitch bend, vibrato, lateral movements, strumming and expressive release. Its MPE compatibility thus allows you to control several parameters simultaneously on each note within a chord.
Soliste utilises this approach directly to offer four solo string instruments: violin, viola, cello and double bass. Based on physical modelling, the collection reproduces various behaviours associated with instrumental playing and allows you to adjust dynamics, vibrato, portamento and even bow expression. Its various playing modes and real-time articulations offer a palette suited to composition, film scoring and live performance.
Noisy 2 brings a radically different approach to the bundle. This virtual synthesiser is based on a resonance modelling synthesis engine, capable of producing timbres ranging from textures inspired by analogue synthesis to more experimental sounds. Its two-layer architecture allows different sources and resonators to be combined to create complex, evolving sounds.
Noisy 2 features, in particular, three noise-driven resonators per layer, a low-pass filter, a global AD envelope and an LFO. Its effects section includes vibrato, a frequency shifter, an equaliser, a compressor, a phaser, distortion, delay and reverb. The software also offers an MPE mode specially adapted for expressive controllers such as the Osmose, whilst retaining a classic mode for use with a conventional MIDI controller.
Finally, the Osmose 49 Soft Case keeps the entire system portable. Made from 1000D Cordura, it features internal padding and several compartments for carrying the instrument, a laptop up to 16 inches, sheet music and various accessories. Its various carrying options mean it can be carried by hand, over the shoulder or as a rucksack.
This bundle therefore brings together a single playing environment centred on three complementary soundscapes: instrumental expression with Soliste, synthesis and sound design with Noisy 2, and gesture control via the Osmose 49 CE, all accompanied by a dedicated carrying solution.
