Presentation
The Fender Player II Jazz Bass Cactus Gray is an electric bass designed for stage and studio use. It features a streamlined alder body with a Gloss Polyester finish in Cactus Gray. The maple neck has a Modern C profile with a satin urethane finish on the back and a gloss finish on the front. The maple fingerboard has a 9.5″ (241 mm) radius with rounded edges. It includes 20 medium jumbo frets for a fluid grip along the entire length of the neck. The scale length is 34" (864 mm).
The electronics are based on a JJ configuration with 2 Jazz Bass® Player Series single-coil pickups and AlNiCo V magnets. Controls include a volume for each pickup and a general tone control. This configuration allows each pickup to be used separately or in combination. The standard bridge is fitted with 4 single-grooved steel bridges. The open-gear mechanics are of the open-gear type. The fittings have a nickel/chrome finish. The cover plate is 3-ply Parchment. The control knobs are black plastic with white indicators. The original strings are Fender® USA 7250M Nickel Plated Steel in .045-.105 gauge. No case is included, a Classic Series Precision®/Jazz Bass® hard case or FB1225 gig bag is recommended.
