Electric Bass

The Fender Vintera III Early '60s Jazz Bass Sonic Blue is for bassists who want the feel and response of early '60s jazz basses. Its alder body provides a balanced, responsive tonal base, while the maple neck with rosewood fingerboard gives a supple, natural feel under the left hand. The 2 vintage-style single-coil pickups make it easy to switch between a warm groove and a more defined sound, ideal for jazz, soul, rock or pop.

The Fender Vintera III Early '60s Jazz Bass Sonic Blue takes players back to the aesthetics and sonic character of early jazz basses. Its alder body provides a reliable foundation for a precise sound, with solid bass and a strong midrange. This wood is still appreciated for its ability to reproduce the nuances of playing, whether you play with the fingers or the pick. The high-gloss finish enhances the Sonic Blue colour while providing long-lasting protection for the instrument.

The maple neck has an Early '60s C-profile, designed for an immediate, fatigue-free grip. Its shape becomes slightly thicker as it rises towards the treble, providing reassurance in high positions. The rosewood fingerboard gives a warmer response and a woody grain that's much appreciated on melodic bass lines. The 7.25″ radius makes for relaxed, fluid playing that's close to the vintage feel. The vintage tall frets offer more substance under the fingers for slides and vibratos.

The electronics are based on 2 single-coil vintage-style Early '60s Jazz Bass pickups, renowned for their clarity and dynamic range. The neck pickup delivers deep, round bass that's perfect for grooving. The bridge pickup adds definition and presence to the mix. Concentric controls let you adjust the volume and tone of each pickup independently.

The vintage bridge with 4 threaded steel bridges ensures precise intonation and good vibration transmission. The open, inverted tuning machines contribute to the stability of the tuning while respecting the spirit of the era. This Jazz Bass is at home in jazz, funk, soul, classic rock and contemporary music, with the feel of an expressive, lively instrument.
