With the Fantomen Special Cosmic Black Burst, Hagstrom and Ghost have created an instrument that is both racy and formidable. The sculpted mahogany body, flamed maple top with glossy varnish, and glued neck with its slender D-profile exude the precision of craftsmanship. The extended 648 mm scale adds a biting attack and a longer sustain, ideal for those who like to keep the pleasure going, even when playing solo. And the whole thing remains surprisingly light... even when things start to heat up.
At the heart of the beast, 2 Lundgren Design humbuckers create order... or chaos, as you prefer. The No.2 on the neck offers warmth and roundness, while the No.5 on the bridge hits hard, with an abrasive grain calibrated for the roughest riffs. In the mood for sweetness? A little push-pull on the tones and the pickups split into single-coil mode. What you have here is a real sonic chameleon, with more moods than a metal singer on tour.
Under the pearloid resinator fingerboard, the H-Expander truss rod guarantees rock-solid stability, even after a night in the boot of a car in December. This in-house technology offers impressive playing comfort without sacrificing tonal character. The Tune-O-Matic bridge and 18:1 oil bath tuners complete the equation. The result is a guitar with a meticulous finish and a multi-faceted voice that leaves you in control... even when you're playing the pots hard.

Their collaboration on the Fantomen embodies a shared taste for contrasting traditional luthiery with bold modernity. It's a far cry from the simple logo on the head: here, the Nameless Ghouls have put their hand to the grindstone, to fashion a tool that's as expressive as it is scenic. An instrument that, like the band, is masked... but hits hard.
