A triple-function pedal, the Bloom manipulates the instrument's dynamics with precisely calibrated optical compression, EQ, boost and sustain circuits that can be activated separately or in tandem with each other. As a compressor, the Bloom features an optical limiter circuit inspired by compressors designed during the golden age of tube circuits.

Although the Bloom can be aggressive with extreme compression settings, its strength lies in its ability to bring smoothness and roundness to your sound, thanks to its optical circuitry that polishes the rough edges of your sound.
The frequency response of the compression section is flat as a board (!) and doesn't alter the bass or treble at all.
Inside the Bloom is an auxiliary compression circuit which is identical to the main compression circuit and has 2 internal settings for Comp and Volume. It can be used in series before the main compression circuit in Slide Mode (preset n°5) to give notes more sustain while remaining clean and clear.
The Bloom circuit can be used as a booster by pressing and releasing the Bloom footswitch, or by holding it down the Bloom circuit will gradually rise to the level defined by the Bloom setting.
This rise time, which is programmable, can be used to increase the sustain of held notes or to match the dynamics of a song.
