Jet Guitars JS 400 SFG RLC Sea Foam Green Relic The Jet Guitars JS-400 SFG RLC comes with fifty years of touring in its veins — and it’s never left the factory. Its aged relic finish on a roasted poplar body, mint green pickguard, aged chrome tuners and aged ceramic HSS pickups create a patina that the years haven’t produced. Here, time is ordered from a catalogue.

Presentation
The Jet Guitars JS-400 SFG RLC Sea Foam Green Relic tells a story that never happened — and that is precisely what makes it so compelling. The distressed finish covers every square inch of the instrument: the edges of the body show calculated chips, the aged chrome hardware has that slightly oxidised hue associated with guitars that have been dragged around on tour, and the aged ceramic HSS pickups boast that creamy colour that sun and sweat normally give pickups after years on stage. Every detail is deliberate. Nothing has aged by accident.
Beneath the patina, the wood delivers on its promises. The roasted poplar body provides the acoustic density expected of the series — a crisp attack, sustained mids, and bass with character. The Modern C-profile roasted Canadian maple neck glides under the hand with that slightly matt feel characteristic of treated maple, whilst the rosewood fingerboard brings warmth to the harmonics. The 9.5" radius and 1.65" (41.9 mm) nut width maintain the ergonomic features found throughout the Jet range.
The mint green pickguard against a Sea Foam Green background is this model’s signature colour scheme: two shades of green, one softer, the other richer, which complement each other without clashing. The two-point vibrato, the aged 5-way selector switch and the 1 volume / 1 tone controls complete an instrument whose visual personality does not overshadow its sonic substance. In the studio or on stage, the JS-400 SFG RLC makes its presence felt with the quiet authority of a tried-and-tested instrument — even straight out of the box.
