From the very first strum, the hand-wound, direct-mounted Alnico Stygian Set double humbucker fuses the signal with the wood, delivering a seismic surge ideal for heavy, powerful styles without any magnetic loss. This HH pickup configuration sends out an organic signal that cuts through the wall of cymbals, firmly anchored by a fixed bridge that withstands even the most violent assaults.

Under the fingers, the wood responds with surprising responsiveness. The Modern C neck profile moulds to the palm for total playing speed, whilst the 48 mm (1.65") nut width provides the perfect space to articulate the complex chords characteristic of this 7-string guitar. The thumb rests on a rigid mahogany neck, whose dual-action truss rod allows for precise adjustment of the neck curvature to counteract extreme tension. The left hand glides across the 24 Medium Jumbo frets inlaid into a rosewood fingerboard with a radius of 304.8 mm (12"), a flat radius that eliminates any risk of muffled notes during extreme bends, gliding over a smooth satin finish that minimises friction.

The instrument’s acoustic DNA lies in the solid block of dense mahogany forming the top, sides and back – a choice of fine timber that infuses the sound spectrum with a rich warmth and roaring mid-range. At the top of the headstock, the bone/polymer fibre nut guides the vibrations towards the black locking tuners, locking the tension across a scale length of 673.1 mm (26.5") which keeps the seventh string taut as a steel cable, enhanced by locking hardware with a black finish that ensures the tuning holds up under the gruelling demands of the spotlight.
