The Jet Guitars JS-700 RD H solid-body electric guitar in a glossy red finish takes to the stage like a racing car leaving the pits: responsive, direct, with no unnecessary lag. The Alnico V single-coil/humbucker configuration creates a stark contrast between the warmth of the single-coil and the denser punch of the humbucker. The J-87 bridge pickup, available in a parchment/zebra finish since 2024, delivers a sharper texture that cuts through a modern rock mix without becoming aggressive.

The roasted poplar body, used for the back and sides on this solid-body construction, retains a lively response under the fingers. You can feel the wood respond the moment the pick makes contact. The absence of a separate top reinforces this compact, almost monobloc feel, where every vibration flows seamlessly between the different parts of the body.

The roasted Canadian maple neck features a Modern C profile that feels very natural in the palm of the hand. Combined with a scale length of 647.7 mm (25.5"), it maintains tight bass and crisp treble, even with higher tunings. The roasted maple fingerboard and 241.3 mm (9.5") radius ensure a very smooth feel during bends and more acrobatic passages. The 22 Medium Jumbo frets provide enough space to work on left-hand vibrato without feeling constricted.

The Wilkinson double-locking vibrato significantly alters the instrument’s behaviour. The lever’s downward movement remains stable thanks to the lockable saddle and chrome hardware. The chrome tuners keep the tuning under control during long rehearsals or more physically demanding passages. A single volume control. Nothing superfluous.
