Kurzweil - K2061

The Kurzweil K2061 synthesiser builds on the heritage of the K2000, K2500 and K2600 series with a modern version of the V.A.S.T. engine. The 61-note Fatar TP/9 keyboard with aftertouch delivers a fast, expressive response for synth playing. Its architecture allows up to 32 layers per program, with fully customisable DSP routing. Its compact size makes it easy to integrate into a studio or live setup for sound creation.

The internal library contains over 2000 programs covering synths, pianos, strings, basses, organs, textures and sounds inherited from previous Kurzweil generations. The 6-operator FM engine can load original SysEx files for classic FM sounds. The VA1 section adds virtual analogue synthesis to produce more organic, evolving sounds. The 256 voices of polyphony let you build complex multis without rapidly saturating the sound engine.

The K2061 incorporates 16 independent arpeggiators, 16 MIDI CC sequencers and 16 riff generators to create dynamic sequences in real time. The 9 faders, 9 knobs, 10 assignable buttons, touch-sensitive ribbon and numerous pedal inputs give you total control while you play. The 4.3" colour screen makes it easy to navigate between programmes, multis and advanced editing tools. On-board effects include reverbs, delays, modulations, saturations, rotary simulations and dynamics processing.

Connections include 4 balanced audio outputs, line inputs, MIDI DIN, USB MIDI and a dedicated headphone output. The 2 GB of user memory lets you load your own samples and compatible older Kurzweil libraries. Editing software for Mac, Windows and iPad makes in-depth programming easy.
