Kurzweil - K2700

The Kurzweil K2700 workstation keyboard is for musicians who want an instrument that can cover live performance, composition and studio work. Its 88-note Fatar TP/40L keyboard with aftertouch provides a solid feel under the fingers, great for both piano and more expressive synth sounds. With 256 voices of polyphony and over 1500 factory programs, you have instant access to detailed pianos, modern strings, organs, orchestral sounds and complex electronic textures. FlashPlay technology allows you to load huge amounts of samples without waiting.

The V.A.S.T. engine gives you access to extremely deep sound programming directly from the 4.3" colour screen. You can stack up to 32 layers in a program, use 6-operator FM synthesis or exploit Virtual Analog oscillators inspired by Kurzweil's VA1 project. Built-in effects cover reverbs, delays, compressors, rotary cab simulations, saturations and modulations with great precision. Piano sounds also benefit from the K.S.R. system, which adds a more realistic string resonance while playing.

The K2700 also doubles up as a real controller, with 9 faders, 9 potentiometers, 10 assignable buttons, 16 velocity-sensitive pads and a built-in ribbon controller. The 16 MIDI zones let you control several instruments or software programs simultaneously from a single keyboard. The 16-track sequencer, arpeggiators and riff generators make it easy to create complete arrangements without leaving the instrument. You can even connect a microphone, guitar or external audio source directly to the XLR/jack combo inputs with built-in effects.

The integrated USB audio interface makes working with a computer much simpler, as the keyboard can handle both audio and MIDI via a single USB cable.
