J.Leiva - Omeya Zeta Matted Lacquered

The J. Leiva Omeya Zeta Matted Lacquered Cajon is an instrument that invites you to explore sound from different angles. At first glance, its two-tone finish and the lines on its front give it a strong personality. But it's in playing that it reveals its character, with a design built entirely around materials and components developed specifically for this series.

At the heart of this Cajon, J. Leiva uses a structure made of solid Coto and Mukaly wood, 16 mm thick. This choice contributes to the sound identity of the model, while giving it a special presence in the hands. The integrated walnut frame, inherited from the Built-In concept developed for the Omeya Evo II, gives the whole unit great rigidity while creating rounded contours that are particularly pleasing during long playing sessions.

The 3.6 mm Russian birch hitting surface features a rough texture specially designed to resist wear and tear. This surface opens up new possibilities for expression, whether with hands, nails or brooms, making it easy to add effects and nuances to the game.

The D.T.S. system is based on six strings specially developed for J. Leiva, with a reinforced stainless steel core and B20 bronze purfling. This design contributes to a balanced response between depth of bass, clarity of treble and richness of resonance.
