The Quilted Maple top, with its glossy Purple to Black finish, is not just aesthetically pleasing - its criss-cross fibres conduct the high harmonics to the Ovangkol body, a dense wood that absorbs just enough to make the lower midrange full-bodied rather than vaporous.
