LTD - Phoenix 204 DX Black Burst

A silhouette that certainly turns heads, a familiar shape and a real desire to play: the LTD Phoenix-204DX Black Burst is designed for bassists who want an instrument capable of adding character to both their stage presence and their bass lines. Its flowing curves give it a personality distinct from more classic shapes, whilst the Black Burst finish reveals the natural patterns of the flamed poplar top for a particularly expressive look.

The poplar body and roasted maple neck provide a comfortable foundation on which to build your playing. The Thin U profile facilitates left-hand movement, with a rosewood fingerboard and 21 extra-jumbo frets that provide plenty of room to move from well-defined low-end lines to higher, more melodic phrases. With its 34-inch scale length and four strings, the Phoenix-204DX also retains the familiar features that allow you to focus on the groove, rhythmic variations and note accuracy.

The two ESP SB-4B and SB-4N pickups give this bass the flexibility to adapt its character to your playing style. The neck pickup is ideal for smoother, more laid-back lines, whilst the bridge pickup delivers a more pronounced attack when notes need to stand out. The balance control allows you to find the right mix between the two, with the Tone Boost to accentuate the desired sound. This setup suits bassists who build a track around a groove just as well as those who like to bring their lines to life with more movement.
