Its swamp ash body with spalted maple top combines with a stable 5-piece neck and Edgeless™ rosewood fingerboard. Presentation
The F10dcx 6-string Natural from Sire Marcus Miller is part of the F10 series, with a single-cut design geared towards managing extended registers. The swamp ash body combined with a spalted maple top provides a defined tonal base. You'll also find that the neck-thru construction helps to transmit vibrations along the entire length of the instrument.
The 5-piece maple and mahogany neck has a C-shaped profile and a 35" pitch, to match the tension of the lower strings. The rosewood fingerboard with Edgeless™ rounded edges, 12" radius and 24 stainless steel frets ensure an even playing surface throughout the register.
The electronics are based on a set of Marcus Custom-H Revolution pickups with wood bonnets, paired with the Marcus Heritage-3 HD preamp. Controls include volume, tone, pickup balance, 3-band EQ with adjustable midrange and a pickup variation selector.
The Marcus Heavymass Custom bridge, with 18mm spacing, and die-cast tuners provide tuning stability and string retention, with a consistent satin black finish.
