Sire Marcus Miller launches the P7 Alder-5 New Gen Sunshine Yellow, a 5-string bass that combines tradition with contemporary demands. It's an instrument designed for bassists who don't want to choose between character and versatility.
Its North American alder body delivers a balanced response across the entire frequency spectrum, with a strong midrange and well-defined bass. The New Gen C-profile hard maple neck promotes a quick grip, while the Edgeless™ rolled-edge hard maple fingerboard eliminates any feeling of cut-off during extended play.
The 2.4mm stainless steel frets ensure increased durability and clean contact with the strings. On the electronics side, the Marcus Super-PJ Revolution pickup set covers both the warm, round tones of the Precision and the cutting attack of the Jazz Bass, thanks to the built-in pickup blender.
The Marcus Heritage-3 3-band preamp, with midrange frequency control, gives precise control of the active sound, with the ability to switch to passive with a flick of the wrist. The Modern-S bridge with 18 mm spacing completes a package designed for stage and studio.
