Martinez draws on a European heritage combined with production that has been established in China since 2005. The brand has benefited from the expertise of the American luthier Kenny Hill, who joined the company as a technical adviser. Its development is based on a combination of traditional luthier techniques and a modern manufacturing infrastructure.
Martinez also states that it builds up substantial stocks of wood to allow it to stabilise over several years before use. This approach aims to ensure greater consistency in the manufacture of the instruments.
