Martinez - Standard MC-128S EN + Housse

The Martinez Standard MC-128S EN classical guitar immediately provides clear reference points for the left hand, with twenty frets on a rosewood fingerboard, featuring mother-of-pearl inlays at the 5th, 7th and 9th frets. Its 4/4 size and 650 mm (25.59-inch) scale length mirror the proportions of a concert guitar, offering a natural spacing between the fingers.

The solid spruce top responds crisply to the attack, supported by a Spanish fan bracing system that distributes vibrations throughout the body. The solid rosewood back and sides lend greater depth to the bass tones, whilst the rosewood bridge transmits the movement of the strings. The Spanish mahogany neck features a double-action truss rod to adjust its curvature in both directions. The 52 mm (2.05-inch) bone nut provides the six strings with the necessary spacing for classical playing.

The maple and ebony binding follows the contours of the top, with a maple purfling that extends this line onto the back. At the centre, the natural wood mosaic rosette frames the soundhole and reinforces the guitar’s classical character. The gold-plated Martinez 48/58 tuning machines and gold-coloured hardware complete the instrument, whilst the Martinez strings extend this aesthetic right down to the fingertips.

The high-gloss natural finish allows the wood’s grain to shine through across the entire body. Martinez was founded in Germany in 1978, before relocating its production to Guangzhou in China in 2005, with American luthier Kenny Hill as technical advisor. The Martinez Standard MC-128S EN guitar comes with a gig bag, which protects the instrument whilst on the move.
