Presentation
MIPRO's ACT-5812A is a dual-channel digital HF receiver based on the 5.8 GHz ISM band, a less congested transmission space than the UHF or 2.4 GHz ranges. Thanks to this choice of frequency, it effectively avoids interference generated by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other wireless systems, ensuring smooth broadcasting even in the most congested environments.
Each channel has two predefined frequency groups: Group A with 12 interference-free channels, and Group B with a further 24, for a total of 36 available channels. What's more, each channel can be assigned a unique ID (up to 64 possible IDs) to eliminate any risk of interference when using several systems simultaneously. Synchronisation with compatible transmitters (ACT-580H and ACT-580T) is simplified thanks to the Auto Scan and ACT™ functions, which automatically adjust the frequency in a matter of seconds.
The ACT-5812A incorporates true diversity dual tuner architecture, guaranteeing stable reception and long range, while eliminating signal dropouts. On the audio side, 48 kHz / 24-bit digital processing covers a range from 18 Hz to 23 kHz, with a dynamic range of over 120 dBA and latency reduced to less than 1.5 ms in Group B mode. This performance means that vocals and instruments can be reproduced with near-wireless precision.
The ACT-5800 series uses FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology and true diversity reception to ensure transmission over long distances without signal loss.
Built in a robust 19-inch rack chassis, the receiver features TNC antenna connectors at the rear. These enable active antennas to be fed and up to three receivers to be daisy-chained. On the front, a graphic OLED display ensures clear reading of parameters, whatever the viewing angle. Audio outputs include one balanced XLR and one unbalanced 6.35 mm jack per channel, with levels adjustable between -10 and +20 dB. Powered by a 100-240 V AC adapter, it remains stable even in the event of voltage fluctuations.
