Whether for singing, speaking or providing sound for performances, the Sennheiser EW-D 835-S SET (U1/5) digital wireless microphone system combines a handheld transmitter fitted with the e 835 capsule with an EW-D EM rack-mounted receiver. Its built-in mute button allows the microphone to be muted quickly, whilst the EW-D Smart Assist app simplifies setup and remote management via Bluetooth Low Energy.
The UHF digital transmission operates across two frequency bands: 823.2 to 831.8 MHz and 863.2 to 864.8 MHz. Automatic scanning makes it easy to find suitable frequencies. Its 134 dB audio input dynamic range helps preserve signal detail without the need for sensitivity adjustment. The 56 MHz tuning bandwidth and 600 kHz channel spacing allow for up to 90 channels, depending on the configuration.
The kit also includes two whip antennas, a power supply with mains adaptors and a rack-mounting kit. Two AA batteries are supplied, providing up to eight hours’ battery life. To extend operating time, the BA 70 rechargeable battery, sold separately, provides up to twelve hours’ use. Before each performance, check the available frequencies and the condition of the batteries to ensure your equipment is set up correctly.
