Mipro - Pack ACT 616 + ACT 600H + MP 800

A wireless system is rarely used just once: it is set up, operated, packed away and then set up again for a new presentation, rehearsal or performance. The Mipro ACT 616 + ACT 600H + MP-800 pack adds precisely this management aspect to the radio system. As well as combining the receiver and microphone required for transmission, it provides a charging station to ensure the transmitter is ready for future use.

At the heart of the system lies the ACT-616 and ACT-600H duo. The handheld microphone features a MU-85A supercardioid condenser capsule and transmits the signal digitally to the receiver. For its part, the ACT-616 utilises digital diversity reception and outputs the signal via a balanced XLR output. The system can thus be connected directly to a mixing desk, a processor or a broadcast system.

ACT synchronisation simplifies initial set-up. The necessary settings can be quickly transferred between the transmitter and a compatible receiver, whilst the ACT-616’s Auto Scan function helps to select an available frequency. The link operates in the UHF band from 494 to 542 MHz with a bandwidth of 48 MHz. The digital signal also features 256-bit encryption.

The ACT-600H offers several options for tailoring its operation to the specific voice being used. The gain can be adjusted, a low-cut filter and an audio limiter are available, and various mute modes allow the microphone to be controlled directly via its interface. It can be powered by two AA batteries or a rechargeable 18500 lithium-ion battery.

It is precisely this last feature that the MP-800 adds to the package. The docking station accommodates a compatible transmitter and allows its Ni-MH battery to be recharged via its dedicated slot. Its LED indicators provide an immediate readout of the charge status, and its reverse polarity protection circuit minimises the risks associated with incorrect insertion.
