Presentation
The first Minimoog D was manufactured in 1970, and it was a revolution, because it was the world's first portable synthesizer!
This all-analog instrument served as a model for all electronic keyboards that followed.
Unlike the first Moog modular synthesizers of the 1960s, the Model D could be played instantly and intuitively, without connecting cables. Giorgio Moroder was one of its most famous users, giving birth to a new musical genre.
Now, the Minimoog Model D is available again and will serve as an inspiration to the next generation of electronic musicians.

The Minimoog Model D 2022 Edition is, like all of the brand’s synthesizers, manufactured at the Moog factory in Asheville, North Carolina, USA.
This three-oscillator monophonic analog synthesizer is solidly housed in an Appalachian cherry wood case and hand-finished aluminum chassis. With a sound as vibrant and deep as ever, its legendary ladder low-pass filter, powerful oscillators, and rich, saturating mixer retain the exact component placement and through-hole design of a 1970s Minimoog Model D.
While no changes have been made to the original sound engine or audio signal path, the Minimoog Model D 2022 includes a series of popular functional modifications that expand the sonic capabilities of this legendary instrument. These changes include a dedicated analog LFO with triangle and square waveforms, a high-end Fatar keyboard with velocity and post-key pressure available via top-panel CV jacks with built-in trimpots, MIDI integration, and a mixer return tweak that allows the Minimoog Model D to overdrive and scream with the turn of a knob. And, for the first time in its history, the Minimoog Model D now features a spring-loaded pitch wheel with a center dead zone, which helps improve playability and wild performance.
