The Neumann KH 870 is an active 2-speaker 10" studio subwoofer. It has 7 balanced outputs with high-pass filter, and bass sum output with RS232/NRC1 control. With a frequency response between 18Hz and 300Hz, the KH 870 delivers a peak power of 400W. Its latest generation high-efficiency amplifiers and acoustic components, including the long-throw transducer, have been chosen to ensure the most accurate reproduction possible.
Presentation
Eight analogue channels provide versatile interconnectivity for modern studios. Four-mode LFE channel processing ensures compatibility across all formats and industries. Flexible switchovers and acoustic controls enable seamless system integration. The integrated volume control and hardware remote control allow centralised system control regardless of the source, and the electronics can be located remotely to reduce cabling.
The latest amplifier technology and acoustic components have been used to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction possible. Robust 10" drivers, a rock-solid enclosure and carefully designed ports ensure tight, articulate and distortion-free low-frequency reproduction, even at high playback levels. Using the summing output, Plane Wave Bass Array (PWBA) techniques acoustically improve lateral coherence in the listening area. The bass thus extends down to 18 Hz.
