Allows you to optimize monitors with minimal effort

The MA 1 is a Level A optimization tool for a stereo set of Neumann KH Series DSP monitors.

It is also compatible with KH 750 DSP subwoofer installations.

This powerful automatic monitor alignment system is easy to use. Simply connect your speakers to the balanced analog outputs of your audio interface - you can also connect them to the balanced analog outputs of a monitor controller. If your interface has an AES3 port, you can also connect your KH 750 DSP subwoofer to it. Your DSP-powered monitors or subwoofer should also be connected to the Ethernet port of your computer (use a standard Ethernet switch for multiple connections). Next, you should connect the supplied measurement microphone to the microphone input of your audio interface (phantom power of +48V is required). Finally, run Fraunhofer’s proprietary calibration software and algorithms to optimize the frequency curve of your DSP-powered monitors, as well as the amplitude and phase response of all the speakers in your setup. Best of all, your calibration data is stored right inside your DSP monitors. This means you won’t accidentally leave a plug-in instanced on your mix bus while rendering—a common frustration with many software room correction solutions. Plus, your alignment settings will remain consistent across all of your sessions, even if they use different applications.
