Electric Guitar Effects
The Peavey VTM Preamp pedal recaptures the sharp, dry grain of the VTM 60/120s of the late 80s in a pedal format. It features a TransTube preamp, 3-band EQ and Pre and Post Gain controls for fine-tuning saturation and dynamics. The 8 internal mini DIP switches let you modify the response and character, from dense crunch to tighter attacks!

Presentation
The Peavey VTM Preamp pedal recaptures the edgy, no-frills character of the 1987 VTM 60/120 amps in a compact version that's easy to integrate into any setup. It features a TransTube circuit operating on internal high voltage, giving a response close to that of a tube preamp with a wide dynamic range. The Pre-Gain control acts on the amount of saturation, while the Post-Gain control adjusts the output level without crushing the signal.
Passive 3-band equalisation (Low, Mid and High) allows the sound to be sculpted directly, without artifice. The 8-position DIP switch lets you activate various response modifications inspired by modified versions of vintage VTMs. These settings influence the gain, compression and behaviour of the bass, midrange and treble. The combination allows you to move from a thick, grainy crunch to a tighter, more aggressive saturation, suited to heavy rhythms and strong leads.
The pedal can be used in front of a conventional guitar amp or plugged directly into a power amp. The hard bypass with integrated anti-click circuit provides quiet, clean switching. The die-cast enclosure withstands intensive use in rehearsal and on stage. The power supply accepts a 9 V battery or a standard adaptor, with controlled power consumption.
The 6.35 mm input and output jacks make it easy to integrate into an existing effects chain. The pedal format gives you access to VTM sound without a bulky stack. The response remains precise, with a clean attack and a well-maintained low end. This is a device for guitarists looking for a typical, direct and adjustable preamp, faithful to the spirit of Peavey's big vintage saturations.
