Mix intuitively
Quickly familiarise yourself with the interface designed to emulate two PLX vinyl decks and a DJM-S series mixer - the type of configuration used in competitions by professional DJs.

- Competition configuration - "Battle" type
You'll have all the space you need to perform a variety of mix and scratch techniques thanks to the new layout of the DDJ-REV1's controls. The 60mm-long tempo sliders are larger than those on the DDJ-SB3 for even more precise control, and they've been placed horizontally at the top of the decks, while the Performance Pads have been moved to the mixer section, so you can intuitively combine effects, launch samples and scratch your tracks.

- Larger jogs
The larger the jogs, the easier and more enjoyable the scratching. The DDJ-REV1's jogs are the same size as those on the DDJ-SR2, a popular controller in Pioneer DJ's top range.

- Lever FX
Add texture to music dynamically with Lever FX in the mixer section. Lower the levers and hold them down to briefly apply Serato DJ Lite effects, or push them up to lock the effects and leave your hands free to scratch or search for tracks.

Scratch Tracking: Enjoy scratch assistance
The DDJ-REV1 can help you scratch without doing everything for you. You'll still need to practise to get the hang of it, but the Tracking Scratch function will silently bring the music back to cue point as soon as you move the jog back and forth or remove your hand - so you don't have to close the fader and find the right spot in the music to start scratching again. All you have to do is select the Tracking Scratch pad mode, press a Performance Pad to choose the Scratch Crossfader Cuts pattern you want to use, then start moving the jog.

The microphone sound is mixed: Easily add your voice when streaming music
For the first time ever in a Pioneer DJ controller of this range, the Master audio output is mixed with the sound of the microphone, if you have one plugged in. So there's no need for external equipment - like a separate sound card or mixer - if you want to add your voice to your sets and stream it through your computer. All sounds are sent to Serato DJ Lite, so you can broadcast directly from the software.

Serato DJ Lite integration: Enjoy full use of the free software
Once you've downloaded the free Serato DJ Lite software onto your PC/Mac, simply plug in the DDJ-REV1 via the supplied USB cable to start mixing. Enjoy tactile control of the software's various effects and functions by manipulating the controller's various knobs, buttons, faders and jogs.

With Scratch Bank pad mode, you can instantly load scratch samples that you've assigned to 4 banks in Serato DJ Lite or Pro, simply by pressing the dedicated Scratch Bank button. You can even load your samples from a specific starting point, which is very handy if you want to use this function to launch complete tracks during a routine.
